HID kit
Hey guy I installed a HID kit and now my car thinks that I have my high beams on so my fog light won't come on. I know they still work because when I turn on the light on the fog lights turn on faster then the headlights but soon as they come on the fogs turn off is there a way to by pass this maybe
|
did you put your hids on the high beam?
|
Well I got bio-beam and it's a plug and play one so the plug looks like the back of a h4 bulb and its high/low hids but I don't have the high beam part hooked up and it did it with and without it hooked up. On the oem head light wire there are 3 wires which one is the high beam maybe I can cut it and that will fix it

not recommended.
hm I have to dig up my old HID info links. what happens when you use your high beams? you could try this http://www.supraforums.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=169197 but i wouldnt recommend it either |

Hid
I have the HID's. My fog lights work like normal but the blue light on dash stopped working. I bought the Bi-HID high/low both work with HID.

have you found the problem? |
The high beam indicator is part of the actual high beam circuit. The stock high beams won't turn on if that lamp is removed and vice versa.
http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Librar...x?S=Main&P=060 I suspect that in order to get the indicator working with an after market setup (whether a rewire such as recommended by Daniel Stern or a full HID kit) you'll need to set up the system to use the Red-Blue Stripe wire as ground instead of the chassis or other ground location. |
