Default Stupid Goddamn Radio

Dammit! I put one of those tape adapters into the radio so i could use my ipod on the move, and now, the adapter is stuck in there, the eject button does nothing, and although the tuner works and the radio goes 'beep' at me, theres no music from any of the radio stations or bands.

A) How do i remove the tape without permanently buggering up the radio
B) If i fail - how easy is it to remove the radio?

This is in an 88 UK Spec Supra - the Radio model is 5199

the whole trim piece around the radio has to come out in order to get the radio out. maybe if you took your radio out you can take it apart and get the tape out?

pull out the ashtray and there are 4 screws. there is 1 screw by the e-brake and another screw underneath you feet panel under the steering column

Its an easy removal to get the trim out, just rmember to DC the cigarette lighter, 4 way hazards and un screw the shifter cap. I've been there quite a bit, no biggy. don't lose the little black plastic pieces on the sides of the ash tray.

P.S. as blasphemous as it is, great title, i knew and understood your problem immediately.

I have been looking for this info or some time. Now I know where the remaing screws are located, not just the one I found on my own.
