Default OEM head bolt torque to 74 in/lb

Would it be wise to torque down the OEM header bolts to the recommended 74 in/lb or stay with the stock torque of 54 in/lb?

The stock torque rating was always too low, resulted in the 7M getting a not totally undeserved reputation for bhg's. 72 is a much more reliable torque for the headbolts.

That's what I was thinking....

rob87- If you mean ft/lbs and head bolts, then you are right. If you are talking about torque specs on the exhaust header, then I can't help you there.

I figured he was talking about the headbolts from the title on the post and had just confused in/lbs with ft/lbs.
