Power Steering Question
Can anyone tell me why the power steering lines go out the fron end, inwards to the middle and then come back into the engine bay??
Can I just make a "u" where it goes out? Thanks, trying to make the engine bay look a little less crowded as well as the fron end. |

Power steering cooler line. In pre-89's it's just the line going out in front of the radiator and returning, but iirc in the 89+ Supra's there's a couple of lines or a small cooler in the circuit.

It's not a bad idea, especially if you happen to enjoy taking winding roads with lots of sweeping curves to them. Quite a few Supra people end up running a small cooler for the PS, another dedicated cooler for the oil (thermostatically controlled) and one for the transmission fluid as well.

I ran a B&M which I had mounted on top of the bumper support, behind the upper vent area.

Just a small 14" x 2.5" x 1" single row cooler is more than sufficient... a LOT more cooling area than stock. While you're at it add an inline filter to the line.
