Feel like an idiot here.......1JZ-GTE have spark plugs?
Feel like thats a really stupid question to ask, but when I took off the cover today all I saw was these packs... and I was too scared to mess with them since i have no idea what they are. A little advice here would help. Reason I was thinking I may need to replace spark plugs or at least check them is because I am idling funny. My idle is low... which I think I will have to turn up a bit but it is lightly tossing between 500 and 700, sometimes just to 600. Don't know what that means for sure, but I swear sometimes I feel the tinniest hiccup from the supra when slowly driving in 2nd gear and letting the rpm's raise to about 5k.
Thanks!:stickpoke |
Well considering its a gasoline engine... Yes they do all gasoline car engine will have spark plugs they will be under the coils just look i'm a 7m guy not a 1jz

All combustion engines have spark plugs, the coil packs are you used to distribute the electrical spark

wow made a mistake was thinking of my nitro rc lawl just ran it haha

Most likely the coil pack goes on top of the plug. My celica has four individual ones. At least there are no plug wires to replace.

Sweet. Figured they had some kind of new stuff with the silly 4cyl engines nowadays I had seen on a Sentra. Anyway cool i'm gonna go pull them off then and see how they look. Probably pretty bad since the car had an n/a map sensor on for so long
