Another question about manual boost controller
So I've checked about every other thread I can find about manual boost controllers and I have to get mine working correctly. I was wondering if anyone could get me a picture of where theirs is hooked in. I would greatly appreciate it. I've tried splicing it in multiple vacuum lines attempting to locate the line running to the wastegate but it still does not work. Thanks in advance.

Ball & spring type, bleed type, or hybrid?

It's the DNA Manual Boost Controller which I believe is a bleeder valve. I was hoping to get it installed this weekend, but I have yet to get it working correctly.

Yeah, that's a bleed type. The more you loosen the screw the higher the boost. Generally, bleed types use a small ball valve to prevent vacuum leakage when the engine isn't boosting. look inside each nipple and see which one has the ball. The one WITHOUT the ball is what you run to the wastegate actuator, the other runs to the turbo's reference port. Simple enough. |
Yah I get the routing, I was just wondering where people had placed theirs to make them more easily accesible. The vacuum line for the actuator runs underneath the turbo and then I can't find where it shows back up. I could install it underneath the turbo, but I figured it would a.) get too hot and b) be too hard to access when I'm trying to tune the boost. So I was mainly wondering if anyone had a picture of where they had placed theirs to make it easier to reach.

couldnt you mount it in the cabin.. granted you had enough vacume lining..

Yah I could, I was hoping to mount it in the engine bay without having to run a lot of extra vacuum tubing. And also avoiding having to get in under the turbo to access the wastegate vacuum line. But it's looking like that's what it may come down to.
