88 supra problem need helpp
The car will run fine until i turn it off once i shut it off it will not start back up until it sits for a few hours or i pull start it then it will run good again till turned off if anyone has any information i would greatly appreciate it.

sounds like your starter is getting hot..
does it turn on if the engine is cold with no problems? if so, run it to normal operating temp. then turn it off and take a spray bottle of water and cool off your starter. once cooled see if it will turn on. if so get yourself a starter heat shield or wrap it and problem solved. do supra's have cylinder head temp sensor.. ? Never heard mention to them or seen it in any of the tsrm.. |
yea starts cold with no problem but after it warms up it quits when shut off but motor still turns over when i try starting it again that why i dont think its starter

check your fuel pressure. |
