Torque specs for 7MGE
 

This question has probably been answered alot but I'm finding different torque specs for this motor's head gasket. Toyota says it's 58 pounds but I have heard that the problem with these motors is that the torque spec was too low from the factory? Hence the premature blowing. Any new data or recommends for my motor?

Torque it down to 72 ft/lbs

or 85 if your doing studs.

Read the box. ;) Depends on the size of the fasteners and the lubricant used. (and it's 90 on studs if you're using moly or 100 or so if you're just using oil).
