It probably is the splash shield under the car. It may have already been broken in half. On mine it is a long, one piece of plastic that bolts on under the car, from the front air dam to just under the engine crank pulley. Maybe some of the others came in two pieces. I also built a sheet metal shroud for the part that goes from the air dam to just under the radiator. It is needed I think for cooling purposes. It also catches tools and nuts and bolts while working on the car....;-).

but then our temps are slightly different over here... not roasting weather

Just curious on what the temps are there in NZ? Summertime here in Louisiana around 95 to 100 for three months. Makes you want to move right on over here doesn't it! I can't wait until our psuedo fall/winter gets here to see if I can turn off the cooling fan, just as a test of course. Roll the windows down, doesn't seem to rain here much either. Nothing sounds as good as a straight six with a good exhaust system, revving up through the gears.

Have you seen Bilbo yet?..;-}

me being from the west coast of canada.... we get ALOT of rain. Id like to have that splash guard on the engine.

where would I find one of these? finding a used one wont help either. Im sure mine was in about as good of shape as any used splash guard could have been and it STILL came off.

heat isnt a prob for me but the fact that rain on the road will be getting all over my beautifully clean car's under side at will.

Splash shield is about $113 from this place...

Could also be the shields on the side, in front of the rear wheels...

Hmmmmmmmmmm that is actually pretty warm! Is it humid too or dry heat. Very humid here, outside I mean...lol.

I was looking for the spash shield in my parts cd but couldn't find it. I am amazed the the 87 I just got still has it and the other shields you mentioned. I saved the site you put in. Maybe there could be a page that is dedicated to links to Supra parts and other info, unless there already is.

No Bilbo though huh, well .....gollum! ;-]
