Default doing a 7mgte swap, have a few questions

what would be the best oil to break my engine in the firt 500 miles? next 2000 miles? how much transmission fluid do I need? what would be the best kind?

Im not going to be using the egr system, what do I do with the vsv and vaccuum lines that go under the intake to the p.s. pump? Also will it mess with the ECU?

And last the wiring harness, I notice there are a set of plugs that go under the intake side inbetween the intake manifold where do they go? I couldn't find any ports to plug them in. ill post pics of the plugs in a bit.

Thanks for your inputs.

Get a JDM ECU.

Yup. Or add a fuel controller, run open loop full time and tune the engine to run a little richer at cruise.

Default Gibberish?

What Cre says is never Gibberish, but I understand how you feel. I have to do research sometimes to keep up with Cre. You have to read what he says and then race to catch up by reading info about what he is trying to tell you. Cre has told me things that overload my capacity of knowledge and then I do keyword searches and research terms and functions to understand what he is telling me. You have to do some of the work yourself to learn the abbreviations and the systems he is talking about. Upload a pic of the areas you have questions about so we can see what you are talking about. This is the easiest way.

The pigtail coming out of the pre89 GTE TCCS (ECU) is for the HAC sensor (High Altitude Compensation)... it's essentially a clumsy MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor which is used to help adjust fueling when there are significant changes in air pressure. You can run without one if you live at sealevel... if you live at a higher altitude you'll be fine too as long as your dialy driving doesn't involve a lot of changes in altitude, but you will be running richer than you need to and your gas mileage will suffer a bit.

I don't to gibberish....

....except for when I do.

lol.. when asking for help on a forum.. be very careful how you word your responses. Accusing someone like CRE of spouting gibberish the way you did could have hit him on a bad day. YOu dont want the helpful people choosing to ignore you

Haha, I just figured this was ANOTHER deleting EGR thread and CRE thought "F@$% this, I'm tired of explaining it"

OP, do a search on the forum. In fact, just look at threads from the past week. I'm pretty sure there are about 5 threads talking about deleting the EGR system, why it's dumb to do it, and how to do it if you still insist on doing it.
