90 mk3 1jz swap help
hello im a newbie at this swap stuff i have a 90 mk3 supra the current 7m is blown thx to my uncle. so instead of rebuilding the 7m i was researching into just swapping in a 1jz. the thing is i dont where to begin. if anyone can help me with some useful info like what parts i need any helpful links, and what problems i can encounter with this swap. thx much apreciated

I've done the swap. it's time consuming and frustrating if you don't know where to get stuff.
Also think of going here: driftmotion.com there based out of san fransisco, and they will be your best friends with this swap.

1jz-gte swap (Currently spun #3 rod bearings), Apexi high flow filter, Greddy thrust 3" downpipe, N1 3" catback with cat delete tube, 1 peice driveshaft, Bar and Plate intercooler, and 440 JDM 2jz injectors. Possible 2jz lower block swap in the works if I can't rebuild the 1j. So troublesome. |
