turbo
hello...
I'm building a turbo engine for my N/A 91. I want to step up on the stock turbo and run 550 injectors. My goal is to make about 350-400 hp. I'm also getting a new manifold. What do you recomend? I'm new to this game..please help'' |

if you got some coin behind you, i got priced up a garrett gt25R for my 7m a while back when i was looking at rebuilding it. it says on the garrett site that they are only suited to about 240hp, but the trim sizes that i got given for a custom one would supply enough for about 400hp. they're ball bearing, internal 'gated, good build quality being garrett, etc. good turbo, i just went other ways with regards to motor, so didn't suit application. if your interested, i can hunt through and find the spec for ya. price to me was about NZ$1700+gst.
hope that helps. |

as a side note, are you going to an after market ecu? if you are, then stay with the 440's. they flow enough to support in the area of 450hp. reason people go to the 550's is the flow more fuel for the same signal pulse, and it balances out the lexus afm, and raises the boost cut by fooling the ecu. if your running aftermarket, theres no need. upgrade the fuel pump, and just make sure the rest is in fine order, and should be fine.
