Misfireing 7m
i have an 88 that i just did the ge to a gte swap. i just got the car running and all timed up but the motor is misfireing at idle and it seems to be boosting strange, like the turbo spools up but the power isnt delivered. All of my intercooler piping is tight and i can not hear any vaccume leaks. Also there is a cloud of white smoke that comes out of my exhaust when i start it. i have been told there is possibly a vaccume leak or my car is running to rich. what is going on? Please help!

White- steam, water=head gasket? Blue- oil. Black- rich/fuel. Maybe a clogged exhaust or the waste gate is always open, not for sure though.

if the wastegate is stuck open you probally wont get anymore than 5or 7psi out of a stock ct26 but u should still feel some boost.RE: missing check the all the plugs and wires when the valve cover gaskets go in the 7mgte they leak oil all over the plugs . sorry i couldn't be of more help....wouldn't worry about the white smoke you just did a swap so its been sitting awhile building condensation through out the exhaust it will probally smoke for about a week after you get it running right and burn all that $hit out.
