Which Oil Filter Manufacturer?
I have seen numerous references to the best oil filter for a 7MGE here and wanted to try to find the general consensus about this issue.
I just bought my second, the 1st was an 85 model, ages ago, and I need to change the fluids and filters...

Personally I think you need Mobil 1 up there, that's my favorite filter. I haven't found another affordable filter with as much filtering capability as this one.

Sorry for the oversight, it was late and I was tired.
If you select "other" please post your preference. Thanks for replying...

Well, the factory Toyota filters are re-branded Purolator filters. I've used both Fram and Purolators, depending on the deal, in all my Toyotas, and have 250,000 to 350,000 miles on them all with no indications of oil wear. My Toyota P/U with the 22R needed a new headgasket at 250,000, and you could still see the cross-hatch pattern in the cylinder walls. It has 325,000 on it now. The Celica has 354,000 miles on it, and the top of the cylinder head under the valve cover is as clean as a whistle. My Supra has 255,000 miles on it, and oil pressure remains strong.
