Hey! just about ready to do rod bearings got a few questions

I know that there can be several unused plugs on the harness from different options and drivetrain configurations (like manual or auto), perhaps that's what those are...
As for the engine swap, I'd look at the identification plate on the firewall on the drivers side. That will give you the engine code, transmission code, diff code, as well as paint/trim color. I think in the FAQ there's a brief description of how to read it, I'll see if I can find that and put a link in here

And one more thing, make sure that the vin on the plate matches the vin's on the car (below windshield, most body panels, etc).
Some useful info for anyone wondering if anything was swapped into their car, check out the differential code breakdown here. Transmission codes are easy, you should have a R154, w58, or A340E (R154= Turbo 5 spd Manual, W58= N/A 5 spd Manual, A340E= Turbo and N/A 4 spd Automatic)
