Just bought my 3rd MKIII and its a hardtop. Never wanted one, but this one was a decent price. Other than the fact that I can't remove the targa (because it doesnt have one) and get the convertible effect, it does have a lot more rigidness (mind you this one has a crossbrace between the struts in the rear ... and thats all.. interior is stripped out behind the driver seats). Very different feel on the road.
