Confusing Cali Emission Laws
 

Hey i got an 88 Mkiii mt turbo and looking to take the existing 7mgte and replacing it with Jdm 7mgte since i can find a USDM. My question is with the JDM 7mgte will my car still pass emission in California, I'm moving there by the end of the year case my girlfriend want me out there. I've actually thought about leaving my girl for the car, thats how bad it is. i love my Mkiii that bad. Please help a brotha out.:confused::wtc:

Probably not... non Cali MKIII's have a hard enough time as it is. At any rate there's no much difference to the JDM 7Ms.... richer tune and no EGR. They make NO more power.

Couldn't you just swap over all the emission equipment and plug in the USDM ECU?
