How to Remove "Front Harness"

The Section of harness that attaches to the battery, fuse box, headlights, etc. NOT THE ENGINE HARNESS. I would like to know how exactly to remove it, and if it has an actual name, because I need to either replace or repair it due to battery acid damage.
Im an mk3 newbie, but I want to learn! So if anybody could help me out, that would be great!
Please if you have any info or tips, let me know!

i think your talking about your wiring harness, its pretty well all one piece except for the engine harness.

i dont really remember but it should run through your body under your drivers side fender, easy to get out, harder to get back in.

buy the right wires and start cutting and replacing.
unless other members know of an easier way, or if im wrong.

well its a pain in the ass. I just did it, im gutting all the wirring to go into another chassis.its all through the driver side fender and some is in the passanger side. You basically have to remove the bumper right and left fenders and unhook everything electronic. Then go insided the car and unplug the conectors from the fuse box. Then you can pull thoes wires through the body wall on the outside of the car. It too me about 4 hours to complete as I did the engine harness at the same time. Its not overly complicated as the wires are all cut to length and only plug into one spot. Prety hard to screw up actually. Just be sure to reconnect all the grounds as one ground could cause alot of headaches. Hope this helps. Any other questions Id be glad to help.

I was hoping that there might be some way of removing it without taking off the bumper and fenders... and getting it back in indeed seems like it would be a headache. So I'm wondering if you guys think that I would have to remove it to repair it, (since I have VERY limited garage space, and not as much time as I would like). If only I had a big, clean, even floored garage with a lift...

Anyway, here are some pics of the damage. These are the only damaged areas as far as I know.

If you cant tell by the pics, the bottom of the pic is the front end of the car, and the pics are taken around the battery tray area. The last one is a pic of a ground wire near the fuse box.

So what do you think: Fixable In-car? or will I have to remove it after all?

i agree, pull it and replace it. Wirring repairs in an engine bay can be a nightmare. Theres always grease and other crap that can cause problems. When you have several wires to repair and one poor contact it can be difficult to pinpoint that exact wire on the first try. You be back to square one otherwise. Its not as daunting as it may seem as it looks as though you have no engine in place so that makes things easier. Hope this helps!!

but when you pull it do what a sparky would do and tie some string around it for when you pull it through the chassy.
that way when putting it back in, all you need to do is pull the string.

also, label where everything goes, and what wires go into what plugs.

Good idea, I'll remember that. I guess I really will have to pull it then, which will be a pain. Not looking foreward to taking everything apart and threading through holes and junk... Oh well! like I said, it should be some good experience. This will be my first time tearing apart my supra's front end so I'm actually kind of excited. Thanks for the support guys!
