1jzgte harness through speedo hole?
I have read in various forums that the harness does not have to be extended the 18" by cutting a hole in firewall next to speedo hole. Can any one confirm or deny this? And any special instructions to do so? To me it don't make sense cuz the glove box is still the same distance away. I'm in the process of the swap right now so any info greatly appreciated.

Even if it wee possible the amount of shit you'll have to route it around to get where the ECU sits would probably require at least partially pulling the dash.... not terrible if it's a one time thing, but you better pray you don't have to pull it for any reason or need good clear access for diagnosing a short or open in a line.

I have a 1jz that ran into problems due to hacked up wiring, an HKS PF-com was terribly hacked into the computer wiring.
Now we are going to do exactly what you are unsure of doing, we're going to take the intake off to get an easier opening to drill a hole to run the wiring harness thru and mount the computer where it's supposed to go.... It's easier than extending every wire |
