Default Ordered Rear Strut Tower Brace Today

I ordered the Megan Racing rear tower brace toady that is a copy of the cusco one apparently. It cost 95 shipped off of drift motion and looks to be of decent quality but then again it has not got in my hands yet. I was wondering if anyone has installed a rear tower brace and if so did it make much of a difference? I will let everyone know how it works out after it is installed.

So I finally got it installed after about 4 hours since the panels must be removed and holes must be made for the bar to go through. The bar looks very nice and seems very ridgid.

Once I got the panel out I used a hole saw and then a dremel to make the hole the right shape for the bar and room to tighten the bolt.

This is what I ended up with. I think I could of made it a little smaller but it doesn't look to bad. I also used some sand paper to smooth out the hole alittle nicer. The worst part or this was dealing with 20 year out plastic panels. Thats where you need to be careful not to break something.

And the finished product which looks very nice and goes well with the interior.

All looks aside. Which it does look good. How does it perform? Do you have a front brace also?

Yeah it seems to make a difference but then again I don't take turns on the road at tire smoking speeds. But from what I understand the lift back is naturally a little weak. I don't have a front one now but will soon. My friend has a front stb on his 88 mk3 and he claims that it makes a difference. He is also doing poly bushings all around, so I'll let you know how they work out. The car handles very well though with the mods I have done:

Eibach Springs
New Gr-2s
New sway bar links
ST sway bars
225-45-18 hankook ventus all around
rear strut tower brace

The first step is to mount the ends with bar the off once the panels are off. Then you can put the panel next to the mount and see where to start making the hole.

Picture of the hole I made. Took alittle too much on the top off it though. It takes some time to take alittle off and then check fitment then repeat till you are happy with it.

Picture of the mount without the bar on. And yes I put some second skin insulation in awhile back and thats why it wasn't that hard for me too remove the panels the second time around.
