Boost gauge doesn't register anything

I just swapped a engine wire harness on a 7mgte 88 turbo. I left the oil pressure plug off for now. My issue is the boost gauge (stock) is not reading any boost.. Any ideas or things I could check. I couldn't find a post that related to this trype of issue.. I also looked at the diagram on supra mania and found nothing labed as boost sensor or anything.. HELP..

The TCCS monitors the oil pressure signal, lack of signal or severe changes in it cause the TCCS to start slowing things down. But this isn't related to a non functional boost gauge...

Stupid question perhaps, but are you driving it under-load and not just revving the engine at standstill. ?

Oil pressure sender = metal can with a brass nipple on the passenger side of the block between the thermostat tower and the oil filter mount. The wire for the nipple comes from the same harness where all of the thermostat sensors, CPS/dist and AFM connectors come from.

Got nothing under load but I did finally spy a link in a forum talking about that, also spied it saying that the stock one is laggy all together. I guess I could get my tru boost gauge sooner. Apparently, it will show whats up much much sooner..
