Can you put a twin turbo in any Supra or will it only fit in certain years?

Depends. Give me an example? Ultimately any motor can go in any car with enough modification and money$$$$$$$ You can put a 1jzgte in a mkiii and mkii.
2jz will fit in mkiii but u have to beat the hell out of the firewall most people swap to a single. not sure bout the mkii with a 2jz and stock twins all the ones i have seen have been single turbo, a lot to do with the fact u can make more power on a single. But me personally like the twins especially for street driving which is the main purpose of my car. i did the 1jz swap myself for more then one reason.

The 89+ cars will fit the 1j and 2j because the sub frame and motor mounts are different, pre 89 not sure what all has to be done to fit one. Either way its a lot of work and money, unless you have say $4000 don't even think of doing a swap.

4k will get u a 1jz swapped in. But the 2jz has a different oil pan with the hump in the oppisite location. So 2jz swap add about 1k to your build plus the 2jz stock twins don't fit without mod to your firewall.. the whole crossmember has to be changed to a 89+ if you have a pre 89
