7mge to 1jzgte swap mounting
what will i have to do to mount the 1jz in my 89 supra? would i be able to use the factory mounts or do i need to make custom mounts? i wanted to ask before i bought the motor and such to realize i screwed up.

any in site would help. also do i have to get a new drive shaft? never done a swap like this before so help me out.

If you search in the forum you will find your answers as I am sure that they have been asked before. As with any swap I'm pretty sure that you would have to change out your engine mounts they do make them for the conversion and plus I'm sure they are still the original ones so they might be prone to cracking or breaking with added hp; it never hurts to do them while you have your engine out anyways.

I have got a 1jz in my 89 they are the same mounts but chances are that they will be worn out. Buy a set from driftmotion for 130 bucks. Make aure your 89 has the round style mounts by getting underneath of it and looking... if u have any questions I have a lot of answers and photos of my swap... check out this link it should answer 95% of your questions http://www.supraforums.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=292754
