white and blue smoke after rebuilding head block
Hello everybody.
So I just rebuild the head of my 89 supra turbo. And now I notice that when i start the engine, i see white and little blue smoke coming out if my exhaust for like 5 minutes. After that the smoke stop and comes again when I sope the car for a couple of hours. I has been doing this since I rebuild the head (aprox. 500 miles ago). Coolant level is good. but my oil level was kind of low, is this normal when you rebuild the head block since the valves takes time to sit properly? How long does it take for the valve to sit properly? Has any of you had this problem before? take into consideration that a year ago, i replaced the piston rings, and I put new (fel-pro) valve stems, and a 2mm Metal Head Gasket. Could it be caused by my PCV system? Also, I replaced the turbo oild feed and return gasket, and the turbo was rebuild this las spring break (about 5 months ago). Any response will be much appreciate it. Thanks |

I don't think it would lose that much oil. Did you get the head machined? If not it could be warped in a area near a oil passage. Wait around for another person to answer also.

What you describe sounds like valve stem seals leaking.
If you replace them again, I suggest you use Toyota seals. |
