w58 transmission, master slave and cylinder and driveshaft

is this a good deal?

well for starters, i wouldnt even talk price until i seen the fluid.

if there is really dark fluid that looks really metallic and metal coloured, its probly on its way out. try to find out how many km are on the trans.

why he didnt want it
if it was in good condition
and if the gears were badly grinded

I dont know.. this one sounds iffy. There may still be transmission fluid in the trany (trace amounts). Its been over 20 years since I have touched an automagic transmission.. lol. I prefer standards simply because thats how I learned to drive.

If you dont get an answer here, you may want to try Supramania. Their tech forums are a bit more intense than here (not knocking this site..)
