Can I do this?????
I know there are threads about 1jz swaps but I cant find the answer I was looking for. I recently wanted to do a 1jz swap but was so confused over the wiring. I found a supra with a 1jz swap, the same exact year as mine. However the body and interior is kinda bad, and it is auto. I was wondering can I do the swap and use the wiring but keep my trans. If I cant what should I do. Thanks for your guys help in the past and I relay appropriate all the help you guys give.

And be aware that harness still may not plug into your car depending if they made plug adapters or hard wired the jza70 plugs on the chassis... pm me your email address and ill send u pics of my harness and what I did to it.. I did it in a way I didn't cut my chassis plugs or harness plugs. just had to extend it. It really isn't that hard at all just time consuming. It took me a 3 day weekend to do just the harness.

In a perfect world that would work. But I have 50 bucks on it that he cut the chassis harness and put the jz plugs on it. So the 7m won't plug back up to those plugs. nor will the jz plug into your car. But it depends how the harness was modded and the quality of the job done. It would be hell to trouble shoot an extended harness as there is over 250 locations it could go wrong. Even just a break in the wire would suck to find. With out cutting and soldering either the harness or your chassis it pribably wont plug in.. UNLESS he put the 7mgte plugs on the jz harness then it would be pretty smooth. If the harness was done properly.. basically the same thing u have to do any route u go. I paid 3g for the front clip and it was a manual.. cuz your looking about 1g for parts to convert the jz to manual..
