The motor is all new but the cams and crank they measured every thing they had all most no wear on them the first owner keep up with the oil changes and it has winsco pistons 20 over and eagle h-beam rods and a metal head gasket and balanced everything the motor has about 1000 miles on it the tapping started about 300-400 miles after the build Nothing is worn out they torque to 58lbs and not 70lbs im think that the head bolt came looser and now the headgasket is slapping between the head and block and when it warms up everything is expending and making less slapping

You could leave it overnight at the place that rebuilt the engine and let them diagnose it before you do anything and void their warranty.

Had the shop that build my motor look at it and they said it the piston making the the taping sound so now I have to pull the motor again and they r going to tear it down again. But I don't have to pay anything because it has a warranty

I had the same problem with my supra. When you crank it up it made a tapping noise sounded like aluminum and metal slapping together. After i took the engine out and dissected it i found out that it was a bad rod and a bad piston. The engine oil rest at the bottom and is rather thick, when you start it up and let it run a little while it heats up and thins out making it lubricate all internal components. Thats the reason why it stops knocking. I hope yours isnt as bad as mine once was! its a pain in the rear. also one other thing you could do is take off the oil cap I think you can see cam gears from there shine a light and see if you have any wear as far as scratches or chips taken out of cams.
