Temperature Gauge
I have a 1986.5 mkIII NA. As it warms up after I start it, the temperature gauge will go up until just under halfway. It then stays there: it does not move at all even when climbing with ac on full blast. Is this normal or is something wrong with my sensor?

It sounds to me like your cooling system is working properly. With a good cooling system, your temperature shouldn't ever really climb above normal operating temp
