Default Dropping 10 STACKS ON SUPRA WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Okay guys i have a 88 turbo 7m-gte supra (targa) and i was planning to drop about 5 to 10 stacks on the car. So far i was planning to swap to the 1 or 2jz-gte but people say the 7m-gte got potential so you guys think i should stick with the 7m-gte? What you think is the highest BHP with a good setup that the 7m-gte can handle before it blows? i heard 400-500 was the highest it could handle. So far my supra is silient as hell, as you are outside its like you hear the AC blasting but it isnt lol.

But yea what would you guys do if you were me?

i would go 1jz twin turbo myself.
i prefer the smaller stroke.
pretty sure 1j is 2.5 liter and 2j is 3 liter.

not 100% sure

If you wanna rebuild the bottom end of your 7m then you can go much higher than 500whp. The 7m is a pretty strong engine once you get the hg locked down. Also the single turbo in the end will probably produce more hp, with less problems. and is a lot easier to upgrade/work on.

I prefer a well done 7MGTE because personally I find them more "natural" to the MKIII. Tons of potential when done correctly. But I would do suspension (lower the car), brake system (steel braid lines, maybe a big brake kit), upgraded clutch system to hold 450+ HP, and all the little do-dads and doohickeys that pop up once you start prior to doing the engine.

I say that though because my plan is to get the Supra as close to perfect as possible before upgrading the engine components and I am already into it with about 6000 above my purchase price and havent even painted it yet. I figure I will have between 20 and 25k into the car by the time I am happy.. although.. that may be low.
