I recently got a 1989 Supra Turbo. When I bought it, the gear shift was kind of gummy and it was hard to put it in gear. Today as I was pulling out from a stop light the car suddenly disengaged from 1st gear and now I can only put it into 2nd and reverse. I didn't hear any popping or breaking and it feels like there is something very wrong with the shifter itself.
Do I need to completely rebuild my transmission? How expensive is this going to be? Any help is greatly appreciated. |
