Default MA70 7M-GTE down pipe?

Hi everyone I am new to the forum. My name is Ryan and I own an AE86 and a 2005 Corolla XRS. Any way the reason why I am here is I recently came into a down pipe for a 7M-GTE. I am a welder and fabricator and was wondering if it would be worth it to make a jig with the down pipe I have, get some flanges water jet cut and weld up some more down pipes. They would be 3" stainless steel, Tig welded and back purged. I could also weld in another O2 sensor bung for those running Wide band O2 sensors. Just kind of testing the waters to see if people are interesed.

Thanks,
Ryan

Depends how much the final product will be. Also, what brand downpipe will you be "copying" so to say?

price would probably be in the neighborhood of $250 U.S. Depending on how much the flanges cost ti get made but it will probably be a little less. I will be making the jig from a Tanabe downpipe which retails for around 335 I believe.

Ok cool. Im sure anyone who is interested would have asked these questions, so just thought I'd help out. Also, would it be less expensive if you bought the flanges instead of getting them made?

In most cases with stainless flanges it is cheaper to have them made But I was going to look around for some already made ones as well.
