Engine rebuild
Everything is stripped off my engine and the head is ready to be pulled. Its about ready to go off to the machine shope and i had some questions related to that.
MHG with only the head milled? What else should I have the machine shop do while they have the head? Ultimate goal is 450whp I have all the supporting external mods for this in place/or ready to install.

Cleaned, valves and seats reground. It helps to restore compression. Are you rebuilding the block also?

no, id like to do just the head.
Ive done all my own mechanical work on this car and learned how from this forum and others. Have no previous mechanical background so pulling the engine alone is not something i want to do at this point. Plus if i pull the block i may as well spend the money and have whole thing rebuilt with upgraded parts.

I'll amit that I don't know that much about building for high hp but if you are trying to more than double the hp from stock I would make sure the bottom end is order. I mean the 7mgte came stock with 220hp at the crank, so 450hp at the wheels is alot when you account for a 15% power loss for the drivetrain . And when I did my hg I realized how little is left to pull the motor once the head is off.
