it suddenly cracked on a rainy day.

Not too sure if you can fix it, it looks like a sun crack, so you might want to get a dash mat to stop it form getting worse

something common on mk3 , the mat will help a lot , i personatly dont like them , but it will help

is the a way to fill the crack then seal it with something?

I had seen something at AutoZone a few years back that's supposed to do just that, although I never tried it. Don't have an AutoZone up here, so I'm not sure if they still carry the product.

They have kits to repair it but it looks shitty and u can tell it's been patched mine just cracked to I was so mad when I saw it the only way to really fix it is get a new dash

yea I would think you could see the repair.. less they make the substance in 20 year old sun fade color..
while we are here.. what causes dash cracks? would regular cleaning with something like Armor all wipes protect or further hinder the sun's advancement on the fading and cracking of the dash. what are some steps to prevent it?

go work for a car dealership and i have seen guy make magic with cracked dashboards or ripped leather. they mix their own paint to match the color of your dash. i would look in your yellow pages and look up leather repair. or go to you local dealer and ask who they use.
