Question about coolers!! (no, not the alcoholic kind...)
 

I was just wondering if you could take out the stock PS cooler (just the long and weirdly bent hardpipe that goes in front of the rad) and then use the stock oil cooler instead? i got a 19 row oil cooler and the driftmotion intercooler so i had to remove the PS cooler for the IC to fit and i can flush my stock oil cooler so i just wanted to know if i could use it as a PS cooler!

All you need is a small rail cooler. I installed a 18" transmission cooler in the upper vent opening on my '88 and it worked great. I mounted it to the bumper support.... completely out of the way and left room for a larger intercooler and engine oil cooler.
