From what i've heard 100lbs is equal .1 second in the 1/4 mile, sorry green I didn't pick up what you said before. And for mike91, let me get this right this right. You want to gut the interior and maybe shed a few tenths off the 1/4 mile, ok great destroy a nice supra. But then you talk of installing rubber coating and carpet which have weight to make it quite again. So in the end how much weight will you really save? Maybe you should just buy a honda or hell buy a miata and put in a v8.

the rubber coating im more than sure isnt that thick at all. they sell the stuff at auto stores for noise insulation and to help absorb vibration. i really doubt its heavy. prob if i sprayed the whole inteirior it would prob weigh 3-5pounds? besides that the a/c system does it need to be drained if disconnected?

Well if you are taking out the a/c and with it probably having r12 in it which sucks for the enviroment then you should have it vaccuumed out first. And a little bit of rubber coating won't do anything to stop the sound. What do you think the panels are made of ? Steel. They are all mainly plastic. What color is the interior?

not retarded. anyways the intierior is blue. im not sure if the paint job has always been but its red with the top half black.i do have the targa top. idk, you guys got me thinking twice?!?!maby i shouldnt gutt it. if i dont gutt it how it want to,guess im guna get the intierior redone and a new paint job to match. i would like it all blackedout. when i get a chance i'll post up some pics. oh ya but the top of the dash is cracked and nasty. do you guys know where i can pick up a new one?
