for starters im not retarded i kno tha MGE is NA and the MGTE is turbo...
but where im confused is the specs and what makes the compression different... i know u can turbo-charge a MGE fairly easy in theory but lots of tuning is involved, but these are the specs that confused me 7MGE Specifications: Displacement: 2954 cc (180.2 cu in) Bore: 83.00 mm (3.27 in) Stroke: 91.00 mm (3.58 in) Compression Ratio: 9.1:1 Weight: 199 kg (440 lb) 7MGTE Specifications: Displacement: 2,954 cc (180.3 cu in) Bore: 83.0 mm (3.27 in) Stroke: 91.0 mm (3.58 in) Compression Ratio: 8.4:1 Weight: 210 kg (463 lb) Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_M_engine pretty much i was thinkin' of doin an engine swap but it seems i should turbo charge my MGE instead of buying a new engine... help plz! |
