Default Identifying "my" supra

First off i would like to say hello to everyone as a new member of the forums.
I am going to look at my first supra within the next few days. The car is an '86 and it had 87k on the origional motor. From what i undersstand the car has had 2 owners and has been garage kept for the last couple of years and started now and then but not driven by the second owner due to back surgery. My mom ran across the car and the only thing my mom could remember is she thinks its an 86, its small, and its fast. That works for me because i used to own an '85 Rx-7 that i absolutly loved. I have always been aware of supras but i have never had the pleasure of owning or driving one, that may soon change.

Now my question is if the car is the mkIII will it be marked as 86.5 on the tittle instead of 86? Are their other ways to easily tell the difference?

If it's an A70 series (MKIII) it'll have A70 or A71 in the front portion of the VIN.... US you'll only see MA70 (non turbo) and MA71 (turbo). IE JT2MA71...............

LOL @ "small"..... actually, ROFL.

thanks that will be pretty easy to ID. Yea i thought that was pretty funny myself but she drives SUV's. As she puts it "I've had a fascination with driving around in cardboard boxes since i was a kid."
