Are JDM 7MGE enginesw any good?
Does anyone have a recomendation on JDM engines?

Its should be the same as any jdm motor. The only real difference is that the jdm 7mge will come without the egr because the jdm ecu is programmed to richer than usdm. So it is recommended to run a jdm ecu.

i thought the Jdm GEs have block off plates on the egr ports? You just need to change the emission components over and run the USDM ecu. then you call it a day. correct me if im wrong though

I don't know about the head. I know the intake plenum is cast differently, at least for some models; The material isn't even there for you to drill it out.
It seems the heads themselves are indeed drilled for EGR: http://www.supramania.com/forums/sho...d-by-EFI-reset There are a couple owners in there who mention their engines coming with block off plates on the head. Fuel maps may not be the only difference but also the timing maps they're running.

Yeah, Aaron should know off the top of his head. I'm pretty sure the ports are there though.
