88 1jz swap ignition problem. HELP plz!

i recently found a 88 with only 95k miles on it with the 1jz swap done the owner told me he couldnt get the engine to start had fuel air and compression but no spark..... any ideas on what the problem could be?

First thing id check is make sure the ignitor is plugged in or even present..its next to junction box, specific for the 1jz.. THEN recheck that you have compression and fuel... Check plugs while your in there. Also inspect the coils for cracks and be easy on them they break fairly easy.. I'D check the timing belt if everything else checks out.. make sure dead timing is set properly (all the marks line up).
