I have a crazy idea??
I have a 7mgte ready to be rebuilt n put in a car. I also have an 80 Turbo Trans am body sitting in the garage as well...
I have seen 350 put into supra's... 350 n 403, 301, 400, and etc....they have the same motor mounts.... I also have a 403 that needs to be rebuilt.... I would like to put the 7mgte engine in the turbo trans am....much like you saw the mustang on Tokyo Drift... And then put the 403, or the 301 with turbo in the supra... now someone plz tell me how stupid that sounds....

7mgte in the trans am would be pretty sick! But what year trans am turbo is it?
I honestly don't think you should put a v8 in the supra. The thought of it makes me want to but it can be done! There is a guy on this board that has a real clean 350 swapped in ill try to find the link. Here it is.. http://www.toyota-supra.info/forums/...-yes-i-am.html I suggest a jz engine though and I always will. For both vehicles if your gonna go through the trouble of swapping an engine get one that's gonna work without having to tear it apart. Not to mention faster!

I have never experienced a jz engine...but I would love to get the chance too. And i know how hard my 7mgte engine pulls so if you say the jz is faster im just so curious
Either way it would def be a challenge. I took some measurements earlier, and it will fit, it will be EXTREMELY TIGHT though. The less I would have to do with the ecu swap would make me happier. Running the main harness and setting up the ecu will be the hardest thing to do. Besides getting the motor mounts welded on.
