buying a supra today. soon!
im looking @ a mkiii white ext red int. looks nice and i think the price is right. however im not too familiar with these cars, and i was hoping (i know its really short notice) for a quick by the seat of my pants tutorial on what to look for on these cars
i.e. rust; engine issues; suspension problems; or any thing particular to mkiii's in general. thanks for taking a peek! oh and wish me luck! |

Rust depends on what area you're in. I've only seen one in Colorado with rust (without having prior damage), from members on the coasts I've seen plenty... usually in the wheel wells and under the spare tire.
Blown head gaskets are VERY common and as they're 20+ years old LOTS of general wear and tear is common: suspension, bushings, seals, hoses and vacuum lines, valve stem seals, fuel filter and often pump... Those are what I'd say are the most common issues... oh, and turbo oil seals.
