idle problem
Hi guys I have a problem with idle when driving I step on the gas to high rpm and when I let it off sometimes my supra dies(just shot down). Please help.

Have an aftermarket BOV installed?
|
No its a bone stock. And I have a question about that aftermarket bov and what should I look for when I install it,does he sometimes do that?

An aftermarket BOV which vents out into the open will often cause this problem... that's why I mention it.
Check for diagnostic error codes and report back. As there may be old codes stored in the system, you should check and write down any that are already there. The, pull the EFI fuse for about 10 seconds and put it back. Drive the car a couple times and once the problem has occurred a couple times check for codes again. Post back with both the codes from before the reset and also the second set of codes (if any). Check the intake piping and rubber couplers VERY thoroughly for any cracks or holes; This sounds allot like an intake leak. How well does the car idle? How to pull codes from the eCU: http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/TechTi...ror_codes.aspx |
I already check codes:12,24,51...I know that stuff and I have cignus x and some other manuals for supra, and I must be stupid to ask but where is the EFI cable.Car goes weak and the boost presure is lover then before.I probably have a boost leak somewhere.

Well, 12 and 24 are both fairly significant codes which should be taken care of. 12 is either bad wiring or CPS. THA is the temp sensor in the AFM which is critical for the ECU to calculate air density. Start with checking for boost leaks and then the code 12, then the code 24.

Thanks for your help,I will look into it as soon as I can and I will get back with a results.
