1989 MKIII wont start

Hi All, im new to the forum (and new to supras) and have just become the proud owner of a MKIII 1989, i bought it from a bloke as a bit of a project and fingers crossed i havent bitten off more than i can chew, as i havent heard it running yet (bit of a risk i know)
so here's the thing he originally was going to break the car for spares, so removed the alternator, battery, coil pack, AFM ETC, but i convinced him to sell the car whole and so he put them all back on, only now (no suprises really) it wont start, the headlights come up, and the hazards turn on, but thats it in the way of electrics, sounds like the solenoid is clicking when the key is turned but not totally sure thats what it is.

has anyone had this problem, or is a bit of a whizz with the cars electrics system any help would be greatly appriciated!
