Aftermarket Differentials
Hey everyone,
My stock differential is giving up on me...lots of noise and clunking, so I've decided to get an aftermarket one. I'd rebuild, but its roughly the same cost. I've been looking into the KAAZ and Tomei 2 way LSDs; they both seem to be pretty good, so I'm not sure which one to get...I've heard rumours about them being the same- KAAZ makes Tomei and vice versa? Can anyone clarify this? That's not my main concern though, I really wanted to know if these differentials would fit my Supra (1988 Turbo that came stock with an LSD)? I'm unsure because the specifications on both the KAAZ and Tomei LSDs say it replaces the stock Open differential. Are the stock Open and LSD differentials interchangeable? Here are some links: Tomei Specs: http://www.tomei-p.co.jp/_2003web-ca...-ad_rset_2.htm KAAZ Specs: http://www.kaazusa.com/lsd_toyota.html Again, I'm looking to install this on a Canadian 1988 Toyota Supra Turbo with a stock LSD. Thanks in advance for any assistance. Your help is much appreciated! |

I can only find one part number for the carrier housing... there may be a number of other differences though.
