Post 87 turbo A/T return to stock performance, help?

Hey guys, I'm brand new here. I've been reading this forum alot in the past few days and some of you really know your nuts and bolts.

So! I just bought an 87 turbo supra with A/T. It has 140k miles.

after reading this forum from what I gather the first thing to do is to return this vehicle to stock working condition. after I do so Im going to go aftermarket to about 320 whp

Where do I start?!?

Rebuild the motor, replace all the hoses, replace any pumps, check torque on mhg( or just replace ), tires... I'm lost after that guys. I'm not very knowledgable when it comes to rebuilding cars. Where do you suggest I start ?

I have a budget, $1250 / month. Except for may, I'll have $2500 for that month.

I'm going to document and rewrite this whole thread with pictures included once the project is complete. For future use.

Thanks in advance to anyone with constructive feedback!

Where to start all depends on the current condition of everything, if you intend to be using the car during any of this process, and your mechanical abilities.

So, what kind of condition is the car in?

It's in good condition, it pulls hard, steering is tight, not a spot of rust.

The only thing I saw was a oil leak at the bottom of the motor, small as it is I'll be getting it looked after.

I won't be doing any of the work myself, my fathers friend owns a nice shop and will be doing the work for me. I just bought this car yesterday, he doing a full inspection and compression test today. So I'll post any findings this afternoon.
