turbo woes
i just bought a 1988 supra turbo 7m-gte that had a greddy 20g turbo installed (probably incorectly) fuel cut deffender, aftermarket air intake, and a cat back hi flow exhaust and now theres a few problems.
1. the car runs like its flooding out and has no power 2. oil in the throttle body and intake. i am wondering if the seals in the turbo have been blown or if there is some way that an improper install has lead to oil being blown into the intake. that being said, the car runs and idles a little rough and has many issues with the plumbing of air hoses and mouse chewed spark plug wires. i'm mostly worried about the oil in the intake and throttle body. i was wondering what to check after cleaning out the oil. I was thinking more fuel, a down pipe, new plumbing, tune up, and headbolt replacement as well as a new head gasket is in order. Last edited by bikenboard207; 05-16-2011 at 12:28 PM. |
