are mk3's expensive to modify / maintain?
 

i have a friend with a clean turbo for $1000, thinking about buying it. i would'nt wanna set the world on fire with it, i'd just like to make it run mid 13's in the quarter mile. is that a pricey/realistic goal?

any help/info greatly appreciated

that pretty realistic, you can get enough power to run that with basic performance upgrades and you wouldnt have to go too crazy about it
