Default dead cylinder miss

89 supra turbo with T61 turbo upgrade, 550cc injectors, 3 inch turbo back exhaust, Apexi SAFC, just fully rebuilt it, rod and main bearings, pistons rings, the works, i think it needs a TPS, so that could be causing the probelm im having. It has a dead miss on cylinder 6. I replaced all the plugs with the rebuild but i didnt change the plug wires and the coilpack is the same one that was on it before so either one of those could be causing it as well i guess, any other suggestions??

The TPS shouldn't cause a "dead" miss on just one single cylinder and cylinder 1 would also misfire if that coil was bad. Test for a good spark on both cylinders. Two other possibilities are: the injector, wiring or injector driver (inside ecu) to the misfiring cylinder failing or loss of compression in the cylinder. The wiring and ecu can easily be diagnosed using an ohmmeter and test lamp. The injector can be diagnosed by switching it with the injector next to it, if the misfire moves with the suspected injector, you have found a problem. Compression can easily be checked as well.
Sounds like it will be a fun car when it's healthy.

Running on 5 cylinders will give it crappy acceleration and idle.
If you've taken the TPS out, it will need to be re calibrated. You may not need a new one, testing/calibrating procedures are in the tsrm.
