so i finally got everything done on the car(so i thought) got the new head gasket in, torqued to 78 ft/lbs, new turbo on, everything nice and good and tight like it should be. all the piping routed that i can w/o turbo to air box piece, all connections are good that i can get, some are just like dead wires that go nowhere it looks like. everything i can possibly see/think of is good. reconnected negative side of battery and won't crank, everything else has power, it just will not crank. started lookin around double checked everything, found a connection on starter/solenoid can't tell which, that somehow came disconnected, and 2 wires dangling that idk how we missed. i believe they are red and yellow, would anyone be able to help me with this? ive got a manual on alldatadiy and its not giving me wire colors that i know. the colors are like B-L, what is that? ive spent like the last hour on the schematics and am going to keep going through it untill i can get it figured out or someone has a positive answer. any ideas? im lost, can't find any connectors that look/feel like they should go there. i refuse to admit defeat, lol, im way too close to being done. 2 other guys and myself have project cars and mine is closest to running and will definately be a rub in the face when she fires up and i drive her to work monday! lol

I had the same problem with my 1990 n/a supra. I found a plug dangling from my wire harness that I believe had a brown wire and a yellow wire going to it that was hanging right next to my starter. I searched for day trying to figure out where it went, but it turns out it wasn't being used for anything. My problem was in my fuse block under the hood. The AM 1 fuse was blown which pretty much controls your ignition system along with some other things. I would check both the AM1 and the AM2 fuses. Good luck with the car and I hope you get the bragging rights!

i found the wire today after some tedious looking around the intake manifold with my friend, he recalled seeing a wire but failed to mention so yesterday. so it cranks!!!!! now it just has to start......timing is good, and spark is great(managed to arc about 2 inches when we checked with screwdriver against metal) we re double checked it just to be 100% for sure. there are numbers on my coil packs and i have the spark plugs on according to that, which to me make sense. although i have found before that just because it makes sense doesn't mean its right, so from left to right here is my plug wire sequence-1-6-3-4-2-5, is this correct? also i get the feeling im not getting fuel. when i checked the plugs they weren't wet. to me that means its not getting fuel, is it getting spark?, yes, but if it is, then why isn't it starting? its not spittin, sputterin, backfirin or anything, just cranks. sometimes it will pause for a second then crank a few times again, then do it again. any ideas there? my thought was battery dying slowly

Hi!
After overhauling my cylinder head I got to the point of turning the key to start it-turned over nicely but no sign of it starting-tried several times and thought I had better have another look at all the connections , everything looked good ABOVE the manifold but there were a whole bunch of wires underneath that were NOT connected ( I forgot they were there !) to the manifold ( all EARTH WIRES! ) -connected them and car started. |

All ground wires underneath are connected, I'm thinking it may not be getting fuel. What are the stock colors of the fuel injector connectors? I coulda swore I took off white green and red but the ones on it are just red and white. Its either that or clogged fuel lines, filter, or the injectors, its getting fuel up to the line on the block. Do the bolts in those have to point a certain way? I know they have holes in the bottom, I figure to let fuel pass through, could that be my problem? I don't recall seeing indicators for them to point to but I could be wrong.
