Now's a great time for smell-o-vision to have been already invented...

Yes... :-/

the old autobox isn't liking my nasty habit of driving hard, regularly... mind you 11/12psi boost was probably not in the design brief haha

My guess (obviously without hearing/seeing & smelling the thing) would be either valve guides/stem seals for the moment... although to have a BHG doesn't guarantee bubbles in the coolant so it can't be ruled out.

It's a BHG pal everything they said to you was said to me,same problem you're having I had it no bubbling radiator no oil in antifreeze and vice versa.
compression 180 etc no one guided me correctly,so I said FT and pulled the head lo and behold #1 & #6 piston washed clean metal seal on HG tiny crack and anti freeze was getting in.Good luck. The forum was not very helpful to me.

I don't see how this forum has giving anyone bad information PERIOD. wow so glad to know we told you what to check for instead of assuming the dooms day scenario of BHG.. SOO sorry for suggesting to check other more easily fixable things then just blaming it on one end all problem.. you two can take your negative attitudes else were..
it's not like were a bunch of genies. Not one of us is physically at your car, we can't do a hands on inspection. We go with the information provided and start at the beginning with more reasonable troubleshooting. We do this as a service, as a community based knowledge pool, IN OUR SPARE TIME. So how about you get off your high horse for awhile. Or there's the door.

We'll all have a good laugh when you go through the trouble of pulling your cylinder head off to find a nice, intact head gasket.

Have fun elsewhere.
